WELCOME TO SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children (ages 2 through 10/elementary) meet for Sunday School at our Saint Paul's North campus on Sundays at 9 AM, downstairs in the Education Wing. Sunday School for imagiNATION Children takes a break on fifth Sundays and during the holidays so we're taking a break on December 25 and January 1. Please enjoy worship as a family on those days.

Students (middle, high, college) meet for Sunday School at Saint Paul's North on Sundays at 9 AM, upstairs in the Education Wing. Sunday School for SMB will take a break on December 25 and January 1. Please enjoy worship as a family on those days.

Note to Parents: To save some time and help the check-in process go smoothly,if you haven't already done so please complete a member profile for yourself and for your children and/or teens.

Ways to give:

1. Purchase items from our Christmas Joy Wish List for delivery to 4247 Creighton Road, 23223.
2. Drop off unwrapped gifts in boxes in the Atrium at Saint Paul’s North and South.
3. Purchase gift cards through RaiseRight (formerly ShopWithScrip). Email  for more information.
4. Make a donation at myspbc.info/give. Select "Christmas Joy for Children & Students" as the giving type.
5. Purchase a coat or hoodie from our bookstore and it will be donated for you.

Christmas Joy Distribution for children and students will be Sunday, December 18 after Worship at Saint Paul’s North and South. No preregistration is required. Just show up and pick up!

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS

SPBC Barnabas Counseling Ministry is offering our Grief Share “Surviving The Holidays” virtual grief support group each Saturday at 10 AM. This group provides a space for you to share with others who understand how the holidays can be a challenging season for those who are grieving. Our guest speaker Dr. Jaqueline White Maxwell, an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, will provide tips and tools for navigating the season. To register, email or call 804.643.6177.

END-OF-YEAR CONTRIBUTIONS

 To comply with IRS regulations for contributions to churches, the following rules will apply to your December contributions:

Will be reported as 2022 contributions

  • Checks written in December 2022 deposited in the mail, and postmarked December 2022 but not received until January 2023.
  • Checks written in December 2022 and deposited in December church offerings.
  • Checks written in December 2022 and physically received in December 2022.*

*Please make sure that all donations are included in the offering by Saturday, December 31, or hand delivered to the drop box at the church by December 31, 2022.

Will be reported as 2023 contributions

  • Checks written in December 2022 and mailed, but not postmarked, until January 2023.
  • Checks written in December 2022 and deposited in church offerings in January 2023.
  • Checks written and deposited in church offerings in January 2023.

IRS regulations specify that a contribution is made at the time delivery is affected for tax purposes.
