You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction,
so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master,
one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all,
works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and
think and do is permeated with Oneness.

Ephesians 4:4-6 (The Message)

Discipline...What is it? It is all about self control and training ones self to a consistent way or habit of doing things (i.e., reading your Bible, prayer, fasting, etc.). It is about developing our character with good habits and a sticking to it mentality. For example, many of us struggle with our weight. There were times it was not an issue, and we could eat any and everything in site...having no concern for weight gain. Yet, we begin to feel and see it's effect by the tightness of our clothes. Understanding that stress and unexpected illnesses contributes to our wieght gain, much of it is caused due to lack of discipline- (i.e., eating healthy and/or exercising). The same applies to our developing a discipline in reading the Bible. Doing so helps strengthen our relationship with God and others. It also helps us to maintain a sound foundation with the trying times we often face in life. Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 33:20-21

Matthew 6:33 reads "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." There are times in life, we become so easily distracted by the cares of life, we tend to stray away from that which or whom is most important to us...our quality time with God! We do a lot of hit or miss,..but know that in order for us to survive, spending such time with God is a must. To do so or to get on track, we must go back to the basics by setting time aside every day to pray, read and meditate on God's Word (i.e., the Bible). It is imporant to feed our hearts with God's Word, just like we feed our physical bodies with food. Without it daily, we become weak, risk sickness and in many cases die. Won't you take a moment today and add God to your calendar/schedule, and experience His presence like never before?
