As we reflect on all God accomplished through us in 2015, we look to the future with greater excitement. The Word of God teaches us that our God is a progressive God and subsequently, God has given the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church a progressive vision for 2016 and beyond. Support this vision and watch God bring it to fruition by sharing this prayer focus daily.

Pray that God would move us mightily beyond the Pareto Principle (20% of the people doing 80% of the work) and that we would have significantly greater participation in the ministry (2 Corinthians 4:1)

Pray that 100% of SPBC members complete the DNA New Members Orientation and start or join a small group (2 Corinthians 5:15)

Pray that we show our love and obedience to Christ and secure our blessed financial future by having 100% of SPBC members consistently giving tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:6-12)

Pray that we remove the curse of debt by having 100% of our members successfully get out of debt (Proverbs 22:7)

Pray that all members would accept that they are ambassadors of Christ and SPBC and represent this through their behavior (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

Pray that individuals who serve in ministry would accept greater responsibility and protect the integrity of Christ and SPBC by being accountable to and maintaining a standard of excellence (Galatians 6:4)

Pray that all SPBC members would experience a greater move of God in their lives because they submit to and live by God’s biblical order (Psalms 133)

Pray that SPBC members grow into greater spiritual maturity by committing to our “Walk Through the Bible in a Year” program and actively participating in a small group (Ephesians 4:14-16)

Pray that SPBC members exhibit spiritual maturity by consistently demonstrating the Fruit of the Spirit in our everyday living (Galatians 5:16-26)

Pray that this ministry and members would not settle or what is and where we are.

Pray that we dream again and believe God for more than ever before, personally and corporately (Genesis 13:15)


God, at all times, wants us to reach out to those who are not yet saved. This is a requirement for every believer. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Pray that every member has compassion for the lost.

Pray that we commit our lives to outreach.

Pray for the success of our “I Won One” Campaign.

Pray that God continues to empower us to minister to the not yet saved and not yet churched.

Pray that SPBC is a refuge for the hurting, frustrated, discouraged, suicidal, depressed and oppressed of our community.

Pray that as a ministry we will be prepared for International Exposure Trips and Mission Trips to every continent.

Pray that we assist the hurting in the spirit of kindness, humility and excellence.

Pray for each of our sites that God’s favor would rest there.


Pray that our leaders would practice and enjoy healthy communication (Ephesians 4:29).

Pray for the leadership to possess and manifest the same “DNA” of Pastor Watson as he follows God.

Pray for humility and unity among our leaders.

Pray for all hindrances to our prayers and progress to be dispelled like Achan in the Old Testament (Joshua 7).

Pray for our leaders to practice and possess private and personal integrity and holiness.

Pray that the spirit of excellence richly abound in our leaders and their work.

Pray that our leadership would both walk and work in faith.

Pray for the families of every leader; that God would build a hedge of protection around them and enable them to walk upright.


Pray that God’s glory would continuously fill and flood all of our locations and lives.

Pray that we are well equipped to receive and reproduce the harvest God entrusts to us.

Pray that 100% of the members of the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church would tithe (10%) and give God offerings of gratitude.

Pray for God's favor on those who faithfully attend, support, serve and honor God.

Pray that God will bless us indeed, enlarge our territory, keep His hand upon us and keep us from evil.

Pray that revelation, knowledge and wisdom abide and abound in our members.

Pray for 100% faithfulness in ministry.

Pray that Saint Paul’s Baptist Church impacts Virginia to the glory of God.

Pray for the success of our partnerships with schools and other non-profits in our community.

Pray that our entire church family will seek first the Kingdom of God as we look to receive God’s abundant, supernatural blessing in our lives.

Pray that our entire church family is fully equipped to take over the enemy’s territory.


Pray that God’s anointing increases (Isaiah 10:27)

Pray that God grant to them favor (Nehemiah 2:5, Esther 2:15, Psalms 5:12)

Pray that God increase them in godly wisdom (Proverbs 2:6; 4:11; 8:11, 14)

Pray that God’s wisdom will bring them health and strength (Proverbs 12:18)

Pray that they both submit to God, therefore resisting the enemy (James 4:7)

Pray that balance will reign and reside in their lives (1 Peter 5:8)

Pray that they do not become weary in well doing (Galatians 6:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:13)

Pray that the way they take will always be the way of Godly character, integrity and holiness


Pray for all of the surrounding areas, that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church will impact and transform the landscape.

Pray that through this ministry, God will awaken dormant visions, bind the strongmen of poverty, crime, mediocrity, complacency, lack of education and outdated traditions.

Pray that through this ministry, like Nehemiah in the scriptures, God will rebuild and restore in this city the areas that have been torn down, neglected or choked out.

Pray that through the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church that God will take this city and region to the next dimension.

Pray that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church will accomplish these things through purposeful evangelism, intentional discipleship, powerful worship, creative and innovative ministry and authentic fellowship with one another.

Pray that Nehemiah in the Old Testament, this ministry and its members will pray at every phase, bathe every task in intercession, pray in the face of distractions and refuse to allow them to become attractions.

Pray that in the words of Nehemiah 6:3, we will not come down from the wall and bring the work of God to a standstill to entertain the enemy.


Pray that whatever God blesses the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church to accomplish in the Commonwealth of Virginia will impact the nation.

Pray that Saint Paul’s revolutionizes how church is done. Pray that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church impacts public and private education.

Pray that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church impacts poverty and crime.

Pray that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church sends out ambassadors that represent to the glory of God.

Pray that the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church impacts the lives of people who seek restoration by offering groups, classes, seminars and direction for true life change.

Pray that those in authority to seek Godly counsel.

Pray for the safety and success of President Barack Obama.


God commands us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together with one another.(Hebrews 10:25)

Pray that in times of trouble, we would run into the fellowship that God has established to bless us.

Pray that our fellowship would be pleasing to God, done in a spirit of excellence, seeking to restore those who have fallen.

Pray that people would always feel loved and welcomed in our community, always remembering that this is the house of God.

Pray that God’s glory would fall in the midst of our fellowship.


To disciple is to make a learner or student. We should at all times want to learn more about God and the work God has assigned us to accomplish. (Matthew 11:29)

Pray that we train and fully equip those who come to the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church.

Pray that we empower others to become leaders to the glory of God.

Pray that all Saint Paul’s Baptist Church members would develop a hunger for the Word of God.

Pray that all SPBC members would participate in “Group Life”.

Pray that all SPBC members would participate in our 2012 “Walk Through the Bible”.

Pray that meditation would become a part of our lifestyle.


Worship is a lifestyle totally consecrated and committed to God, God’s will and God’s way. (John 4:24)

Pray that in every season of our lives, worship will be a priority.

Pray that every member of the Saint Paul’s Baptist Church fully understands how to enter into worship.

Pray that worship would set the atmosphere in our homes and private lives daily.

Pray that through our faithful obedience, we will experience a greater move of God in our lives.

Pray that our worship and praise will break the bondage of the enemy in our lives and in the lives of everyone connected to us.

Pray that miracles, signs and wonder would be made manifest through our worship.


God desires order, peace, love and harmony in our families. (I Corinthians 11:3)

Pray that balance reigns in our families—be well balanced, vigilant and sober, because your enemy, Satan, lurks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

Pray for unity in the home, a spirit of one accord—a house divided against itself cannot stand. (Mark 3:25)

Pray that we would love and submit one to another as to the Lord.

Pray that we would all be moved to intercede for our families.

Pray that our children choose friends wisely and shun evil companions.

Pray that God honors families as families honor God.


God speaks more about money than any other subject. How we handle it, how we spend it and how it makes us behave all reveal our heart towards God. Just as out of the abundance of our heart, our mouths speak, so it is with our money. Where our heart is, there is our treasure. God wants us to honor God in our living and our giving. (John 5:23)

Pray that each person who tithes will become a wise manager of the remaining 90%.

Pray that each Saint Paul’s Baptist Church member becomes debt free.

Pray that each Saint Paul’s Baptist Church member has a heart to sacrifice.

Pray that each of us maintains a spirit of humility as God gives us increase.

Pray that we will prosper and be in good health, just as our soul prospers.

Pray that in the realm of finances we fully walk in faith and trust God.


“Workouts in the gymnasium are useful…” (1 Timothy 4:8, MSG) In biblical times, people walked and ate natural foods free of added sugars, fats and preservatives. Today, with our convenient lifestyles, we aren’t as active. Instead, we are busy and overindulgent. As a result, we are unhealthy. God has given us this treasure in earthen vessels and we need them healthy to operate fully.

Pray that we honor God with our bodies (2 Corinthians 6:16)

Pray that every member of our church family would commit to 30 Minutes a Day of exercise.

Pray that we take inventory of our lives and that we operate in balance.

Pray that we would become faithfully active.

Pray that we would be wise in our food proportions and choices.

Pray that we would fast periodically and cleanse our bodies. As a result, the Word says that our health will spring forth speedily.

Pray that people would rest and change their diets to reverse health issues.

Pray that we would dedicate our temples to God to bring forth God’s glory.


Living a holy life, contrary to popular opinion, is NOT a boring life. Having fun within the safety parameters of God’s holiness keeps us safe. God came to give us life and life to the fullest. The Word says that God has given us all things richly to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:16).  When we have fun, we are a portrait of God’s totality of abundant life.

Pray that we smile more—it increase our face value.

Pray that we laugh more—it is medicine for our souls.

Pray for lasting joy—it is the fruit of the Spirit that God wants us to abundantly have.

Pray that in the proper context, we have fun that glorifies God.
